We’re proud to offer our members support seven days a week and there are some incredible people on hand to help. We’d love for you to get to know them, so we’re putting them in the spotlight. This time, we’d like introduce you to Alice.
👋 Hey Alice! Introduce yourself in a sentence.
Hey, I’m Alice and I’ve been working at Tide just shy of a year now and I’m a part of the Member Support team.
How did you cross paths with Tide?
A childhood friend of mine was actually working for Tide at the time. I was looking for employment and have lots of start- up experience so it was a great fit!
What’s your typical working day?
It starts with a big round of morning greetings, seeing my teams smiling faces can really make my day. I’ll then normally fix myself some breakfast before settling in for a day of talking to our wonderful members, and helping them out with any queries.
Most unexpected query from a Tide Member so far?
We’ve gotten a few complaints about the quality of our fabric softener which always makes for a laugh, seems a few people get us confused with the washing detergent.
What’s your favourite Tide feature?
The invoice reader feature is great! It lets you upload an invoice into the Tide app and pay it straight away, no need to copy paste account numbers and sort codes, it’s so easy!
Favourite desk snack?
A mug of cereal is generally my go to.
What’s your hidden talent?
I have the ability to remain insanely optimistic. “If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry” is my go to motto.
I’ve also got a decent green thumb too!
Ideal celebrity dinner party guests?
Louis Theroux, Iris Apfel, Nina Simone and Yanis Varoufakis.
When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?
Be with friends – I spent the last few years living overseas so it’s great to be back in London with familiar places and faces. You can also often find me in a park – London really has some of the best in the world!
