Meet Ronan, from our Member Support team

We’re proud to offer our members support seven days a week and there are some incredible people on hand to help! We’d love you to get to know them, so we’re putting them in the spotlight. This time, we’d like introduce you to Ronan.

Typical working day:

Regardless of what shift I’m working, I like to get to the office about 15/20 mins before I start. It gives me a chance to relax after the hustle and bustle of the Underground. My team mates are all awesome, so I love having a laugh with them when I get to my desk.

I check my emails and then get cracking; talking to our members on the in-app chat and answering any questions they may have while trying to deliver an amazing service.

I deal with a lot of the more complex queries here at Tide, so I’m usually speaking with various different teams during the day. This continues all day long until the day is over. All of this is, of course, fuelled by an extreme amount of espresso (maybe 10) 🙂

Most unexpected query from a Tide Member so far?

I think the most unexpected query we ever had was ‘do Tide test on animals?’ (Of course we wouldn’t, we’re all animal lovers here.) They were talking about a well-known American washing detergent, so we thought it was funny.

Favourite desk snack?

I tend to eat anything and everything you put in front of me, but you wouldn’t see my desk without an espresso.

What’s your hidden talent?

I sometimes breathe fire at parties ?

Ideal celebrity dinner party guest?

I’d love to have dinner with so many people, but I’d probably chow down with Tim Burton.

When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?

I love to cook, so I spend my days off experimenting with new ingredients and cooking for friends. I enjoy playing the guitar, and making some home brews.
