Meet Annabelle, from our KYC team

Dedicated to understanding our members and their businesses better, the KYC team is the first one most members get to interact with – needless to say, they have a key role here at Tide! We’d love for you to get to know them too – here’s Annabelle.

👋 Hey! Introduce yourself in a sentence.
G’day I am Annabelle I have just arrived in London from Sydney, Australia.

What’s your background?
As you can probably tell, I’m Australian! Back in Aus, I worked at Qantas Airways for 10 years. You can say that I was a bit of an aviation geek! Naturally, when you work for an airline, you develop a passion for travel – which is why I took the leap and moved here.

How did you cross paths with Tide?
My cousin Ash is the office manager at Tide. When I saw the KYC Analyst role being advertised, I immediately jumped on board. I wanted to join a startup and I felt Tide’s culture was everything that I’m about.

What’s your typical working day:
No day is ever typical which is what I love most about Tide. I arrive into the office and have my coffee/ breakfast which our office manager amazingly organises. I am amongst a team of 12 KYC Analysts who on a daily basis onboards new members.

What’s your favourite Tide feature
The in-app help feature. If I ever have any problems, I can chat away to the Member Support Team!

What’s the most interesting challenge you’ve came across since you joined Tide?
Many people don’t know but I am actually a little shy. Tide has such an amazing social culture and it’s been a wonderful, enjoyable challenge which has really made me come out of my shell.

Dream celebrity guests for a dinner party?
Fleetwood Mac. I wouldn’t feed them until they played 5 of my favourite songs.

What’s your hidden talent?
I am great at making music playlists. I cater to everyone’s taste.

When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?
I absolutely love travelling and going to new places.
