Meet Loz, our Premium Account Manager

We’re proud to offer our members support seven days a week and there are some incredible people on hand to help. We’d love for you to get to know them, so we’re putting them in the spotlight – here’s our Premium Account Manager, Loz!
👋 Hey Loz! Introduce yourself in a sentence.
I’m Loz, an Account Manager here at Tide. I have the pleasure of looking after our Cashback Members. I studied at the University of Westminster and have a degree in Contemporary Media Practice.
How did you cross paths with Tide?
Having worked as a product specialist for five years at a popular high street fashion retailer, I’ve always been passionate about exceptional customer service, but wanted to work in an industry where my service skills could directly impact someone’s life in a real way. A friend of mine knew about Tide and suggested I applied. It sounded like the perfect new challenge: helping people to nurture and grow their livelihoods. So I applied, and that was almost two years ago now!
Tell us about your role as a Premium Account Manager
Some days the phone will ring like crazy, and I’ll have a really chatty day. I’ll discuss a broad range of topics with members – each call is different from the next. I like to keep members up to date with membership perks and feature releases to ensure they are maximising the potential of their upgrade.
Other days, the phone won’t ring at all, but I’ll be reaching out proactively to help members stay on top of their business admin and ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for them.
I really enjoy establishing a more personal relationship with this pool of members and getting to know their individual wants and needs so that Tide can tailor its service in a really exciting and cutting edge way.
What’s your best Tide memory?
It’s difficult to say when there are so many fun and engaging things happening here all the time. One of my favourites was linked to World Mental Health Day, in which Tide hosted a series of amazing employee workshops. The last workshop of the day was a ‘Gong Bath’ – As someone who meditates regularly, I found this to be a super powerful experience, and I was grateful I was able to participate.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
I’m really keen to get out and meet some of our members face-to-face with our VP of member engagement Sarah in a mini roadshow we have planned. The aim will be to see how they are getting on with the plan, and understand what is going well and what our members would like to see from us.
Favourite desk snack?
Some days are just Greggs days, but you have to tune in to your sixth sense and go when there are still vegan sausage rolls 🌭 Most of the team like these specifically, and one never goes on a Greggs run for oneself.
What’s your #MondayMotivation?
Coffee, metal music and Russell Brand podcasts (I’m a super fan – controversial, I know). I also look forward to hearing about anecdotes from my colleagues’ weekends. I’ve been lucky enough to make some very close friends at Tide which makes me even more motivated to be here.
When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?
Eat mainly – since I don’t have time to make breakfast during the week, I like to wake up on Saturdays and Sundays, put on some music and make a breakfast of champions 🥞🍳🥐 It’s my favourite meal of the day.
When I’m not eating or endlessly scrolling on Reddit, I’m trying to explain to my cat how much I adore her 😻 in the most high pitched voice as possible, or exploring my love of photography 📷
