Your Team

As an Operations Manager at Tide (fondly referred to as a Tidean, a mighty challenger of the banking world) you’ll join an ambitious team of highly motivated, talented Tideans who love to collaborate, and are driven by helping people achieve their business ambitions. In this role you’ll become a leading member of Tide’s Payments Operations team, You will work with teams from across the company – including member support, financial crime, finance, tech, and product – as well as with our suppliers and Tide Members. Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Finance and Payments operations:
    • Defining new processes, and improving existing ones
    • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of existing processes and taking required actions where necessary
  • Project and program management:
    • Owning and delivering non-technical projects (spanning commercial and operational topics)
    • Supporting Product Owners and VPs to manage cross functional technical projects
  • Provider management
  • Managing junior members of the team
  • Working with VP Payments on functional Strategy and planning

About You

We’re an international scale up, we’re highly driven and we move quickly! If fast paced environments, cross team exposure, inquisitive freedom and the ability to have a real impact on a rapidly growing scale up appeals to you, then you already have the mind of a Tidean. If you have that along with the following experience, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Organised – can deliver complex projects spanning multiple workstreams and functional areas
  • Responsible – we need to be able to trust you to own projects with minimal oversight, but to bring in help when needed
  • Strong attention to detail – you need a sixth sense for when things don’t look right and the conviction to investigate whether it’s a larger problem!
  • Excel proficiency – working knowledge of SQL will be a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – you’ll be explaining the root causes of problems to management and working with providers to get to the bottom of problems
  • Resilient – you’re willing to spend the time it takes to discover where a problem lies and not stop until it’s solved
  • Proactive – you’ll need to enjoy the challenge of continuously improving processes and always be on the hunt for the next problem that needs to be fixed!
