Product Analytics Lead

About You 

You will be an analytics expert whose input will be core to decision making across all major product strategies and initiatives. You will contribute to the Tide growth story by leading a team of analysts and building capabilities in the product arena to improve our member experience and the other critical business metrics.  You will be responsible for building capabilities to reliably and effectively track user behaviour at scale, driving generative research that informs & prioritises our product backlog, enabling a data informed decision making culture ( Controlled Experimentation, Metrics and Measurement strategy etc.) and creating impact by uncovering revenue and growth opportunities through various initiatives.

This role will suit an individual who has built and led a high performing product Analytics team to drive adoption of insights, tools usage and business impact in close collaboration with the product management and the business teams. This role will be reporting into the Head of Analytics but will be closely working as Business partners to the various Product squads.

Some of the things you’ll be doing: 

  • Creating the team’s roadmap and vision for a data driven product ecosystem
  • Understanding the different aspects/features of the current product and product vision and then collaborating to set up the tracking and analytics of the product features
  • Partnering with Product teams in shaping the product strategy and building KPIs for new product launches 
  • Defining events basis the analysis of new feature developments and work closely with the tech team to ensure the accurate tracking of the events defined
  • Ensuring the readiness of frameworks for A/B Testing, Segmentation, Funnel tracking etc. for effective product analytics
  • Fostering a culture of experimentation among the product community
  • Building action items based on the recommendations from various insights
  • Performing an assessment of current analytical stack from delivery on product analytics and recommending changes, if any
  • Conducting in-depth analysis to uncover opportunities for improving our products
  • Educating Business and product stakeholders on best practices of product analytics/experimentation 
  • Being a good people manager to who empowers and inspires the team to do great work

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have 8+ years of experience working on Product Analytics in a digital Product/Platform company
  • You have a commercial aptitude to create business impact from analytical interventions
  • You have expertise in assessment and deployment of product analytics tools (e.g. Heap, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Pendo, etc.)
  • You have experience designing and assessing impact of A/B experiments 
  • You have excellent communication skills, specifically in demonstrating the value of data to a non-technical audience
  • You have experience of managing team in a product squad 
  • You have experience working with web analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc).
  • You have ability to deliver product strategy and demonstration of ideas different levels of seniority (inc C-Suite)
  • You have experience setting up policies and processes and trainings in order to ensure governance of events
  • You have demonstrated experience as the voice of data with product and engineering teams
  • You have strong data visualisation skills, including knowledge of self-serve tools like Looker, Tableau or similar
  • You are comfortable to lead business wide initiatives that require cross team collaboration with little support
  • You have ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment

Nice to Have 

  • Experience in B2C SAAS startup or fast growing product company experience
  • Experience working with native app(iOS & Android) integration & measurement as well of web products
  • Experience using Agile development methodologies and familiarity using JIRA/Confluence to document
  • Proven experience and comfort using site/app experimentation solutions, such as Optimizely, VWO, Launchdarkly or similar platforms.

A note on the future of work at Tide:

Tide’s offices are beginning to open for Tideans to return on a voluntary basis. Timelines for reopening will be unique for each region and will be based on region-specific guidelines.
