What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a Web Engineer to work within a small team alongside developers, designers, QA engineers and product managers.
As a Mobile Engineer at Tide, you’ll report directly to the People Manager and Head of Mobile Engineering (Functional) and work in a team of highly skilled Mobile engineers.
We encourage collaboration through pair programming, live code reviews, demo sessions, hacking sessions and many others. You will be working on extending, maintaining and improving our digital journeys as well as multiple other internal web apps. You will be working in a modern tech stack, which we constantly review and evolve accordingly.
You’ll bring new ideas, and become an integral part of the process of continuously improving our product. Outside of working in your squad you will discuss technical challenges, in our different Communities of Practice.
As a Web Engineer You’ll be:
- You will be learning and sharing knowledge with our engineers on new things often, as we believe in experimentation, T-shaped engineering and collaborative learning for career growth
- You will be working on our new and existing products for our Business Areas. We have an exciting roadmap with brand new features and we will need you to solve interesting problems
- You will have the opportunity to make a difference by leveraging your experience connecting with less experienced engineers, collaborating and cheering together
- Joining one of our expanding multi-disciplinary agile teams, you will work together with product owners, UI/UX designers, architects, engineers, and other business members to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions
- You will ideally join our Web and Flutter Community of Practices, and your input on how to improve processes and maintain high quality across the team will be very welcome

What makes you a great fit:
Working experience with Web as a Sofware Engineer
Solid experience in React, Gatsby, TypeScript
Willing to move to Angular2+, RxJS, and NgRx over time
Solid experience in using testing tools such as Jest and Cypress or similar
Passionate about building great products in small, autonomous, agile teams
A passion for automation tests and experience writing testable code
Experience building sleek, high-performance user interfaces and complex Web apps that successfully shipped to customers
Our Tech Stack (you don't have to be excelling in all, but willing to learn them):
Angular 15+ (including NgRx and Angular Material) or React at their full potential to build our web apps
Nrwl Nx to manage them as mono repo
Storybook as live components documentation
Node.js, NestJs and PostgreSQL to power up the BFF middleware
EKS/Kubernetes used by the Cloud team to run the platform
Contentful to provide some dynamic content to the apps
DataDog, Sentry, Mixpanel, SonarCloud, Semgrep, LaunchDarkly, and Segment to help us safely track, monitor and deploy
GitHub with GitHub actions to power the Cl/CD pipelines (new joiners are encouraged to have something deployed to production in their first 2 weeks)
