How to create an invoice on the Tide app

Creating an invoice with Tide is simple and quick. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Tap “Create Invoice”

Open the Tide app and go to the Invoice section.

Step 2: Add customer details

Enter your customer’s:

Name

Business details

GST number (if applicable)

Contact information

Step 3: Add item and GST details

Enter:

Product or service details

Quantity and pricing

Applicable GST rates

Step 4: Choose your invoice template

Select the invoice format or template you want to use.

Step 5: Preview your invoice

Review all details before sending the invoice.

Step 6: Share or download instantly

Send the invoice directly or download it as a PDF for sharing later.

How to update your email address or phone number on invoices

Certain verified business details are automatically added from your Tide account records and cannot be edited directly in invoices. These may include:

Business name

Registered address

PAN details

However, you can update your invoice email address and phone number.

To update invoice contact details:

Open the Tide app

Go to Invoice

Tap Manage

Open Template

Update your email address or phone number

Verify your customer’s GST number

Currently, GST verification is not available directly within the Tide app. However, you can verify your customer’s GST details through the government GST portal.

You may be able to check:

Business name

GST registration status

State and business location

Date of registration

Business constitution

Can you edit an invoice after sending it?

No. Once an invoice has been sent, it cannot currently be edited.

If changes are required:

Cancel the invoice

Create and send a revised invoice with the correct details

Additional invoice editing features may be introduced in future updates.
