Processing your transaction

We process your Add Money transactions through the Faster Payment system. This ensures that your transaction is with you – both fast and secure.

Amounts you can deposit

The minimum amount you can transfer is £10. The maximum amount is subject to the standard limits set by the Faster Payments System, and the limits that apply to your Tide business account.

Add Money transaction fees

The transaction fees depends on the plan you're on:

  • Tide Standard – 20p per transfer

  • Tide Smart – 25 free transfers

  • Tide Pro – unlimited free transfers

  • Tide Max – unlimited free transfers

Your fees are billed as part of our monthly billing process, and will be included in the total fee amount summary on your bank statement.

If your Banking Provider usually charges you fees for making payments, you will have to pay those fees to your Banking Provider in the usual way.

Your top ups can’t exceed:

  • £3,000 per single transaction

  • £3,000 per day (or 24 hours)

  • £20,000 per week (or 7 days)

Deposit won't go through?

If you've tried but your deposit won't go through, we'll automatically refund your failed transaction within 3-5 business days.

In the meantime, here's what you can do to ensure that you can successfully top up your Tide account. Check that:

  • You haven't gone over the deposit limits

  • Your card is a Visa or Mastercard, issued in the UK and in GBP

  • You have sufficient funds or credit available

  • Your bank hasn’t blocked the transaction

If none of these apply, tap the Support icon in the top-right of your app and we'll be happy to help.
