It’s just like your regular Tide card – only safer. A numberless card doesn’t have your card number, expiry date or CVV printed on it.
Instead, your details are securely stored in the Tide app, and only you can view them by going to: Payments > Cards > select your card > View details
When can I start using my card?
Right away – no need to wait for the post. As soon as your Tide Business Current Account is approved, you can:
Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay
View your card details in the app and start making online payments
To add your card to a digital wallet, go to: Payments > Cards > select your card > Add to Apple or Google wallet
How do I activate my physical card?
To activate your new card, insert it into any POS terminal or ATM to make a Chip & PIN transaction. After this, you’ll be able to use it for swipe, as well as contactless payments.
I can’t make a contactless payment – why is this?
If you’re unable to make a contactless payment, it may be because your card hasn’t been activated or is temporarily frozen. Tap: Payments > Cards and select your card to check your card’s status in the app.
If your card is frozen and you’d like to use it, tap Unfreeze
If it hasn’t been activated, follow the activation steps above
Your card should work after that, however, if you’re still facing issues, tap Support in the app and we’ll help you.
I’ve lost my numberless card – what should I do?
Freeze the card in your app immediately, by tapping: Payments > Cards > select your card > Freeze.
If you need a replacement, you can request one, by tapping: Payments > Cards > select the card you want to replace > Replace this card. Then select or manually enter the address you want it sent to.
You’ll see your new card in the app within minutes – ready to use straight away.
