For founders Sharon and Suzana, Greensusha is more than just a business. It is a reflection of their love for nature and their belief that greenery can bring calm and creativity into everyday life.

Greensusha offers thoughtfully curated plants and handcrafted macramé creations that help people bring a touch of nature into their homes and workspaces. What started as a shared passion slowly turned into a small business built with care, creativity and purpose.

“Plants have a way of transforming both spaces and moods,” they share. “We started Greensusha because we wanted people to experience the joy and calm that greenery can bring into their daily lives.”

What International Women’s Day Means to Them

For Sharon and Suzana, International Women’s Day is about celebrating the strength of women and the power of women supporting one another. It is a day to recognise how far women have come while also encouraging more women to step forward, take risks and build something of their own.

They believe that when women uplift each other, it creates space for more ideas, more businesses and more opportunities to grow together.

Giving to Gain

This year’s theme, Give to Gain, resonates strongly with their journey as founders.

Building Greensusha required them to give their time, energy and comfort to something they deeply believed in. From experimenting with plant care and macramé designs to learning the many aspects of running a business, the journey has required patience and commitment.

“There were moments when we had to step outside our comfort zones,” they say. “But every challenge helped us learn something new. When you give your time and dedication to something meaningful, you gain confidence, resilience and a sense of purpose.”

Growing with the Right Support

In India, women led businesses in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns are growing by 111 percent, reflecting the incredible rise of women entrepreneurship across the country.

For Greensusha, one of the biggest enablers of growth has been access to tools and platforms that make running a business easier. Using Tide has helped them manage their business finances more smoothly and stay organised, giving them more time to focus on building their brand and connecting with customers.

The Road Ahead for Women Entrepreneurs

Even though women led businesses are growing at record rates in India, Sharon and Suzana believe that confidence and access to the right support systems remain key challenges for many women entrepreneurs.

“Many women have brilliant ideas but sometimes hesitate to take the first step,” they say. “With the right community and encouragement, more women can turn their ideas into thriving businesses.”

Through Greensusha, Sharon and Suzana hope to continue growing their venture while inspiring more people to embrace greenery and mindful living. For them, the journey of entrepreneurship is very similar to nurturing plants. With patience, care and belief, growth always finds its way.
