Shielding You and Your Business from Third-Party Scams

Scammers increasingly use sophisticated methods to impersonate trusted partners or Tide employees. To protect you and your business from unauthorized access and financial loss, please familiarize yourself with our core security guidelines.

Crucial Tide Security Standards

To keep your account safe, remember that Tide will never:

  • Ask for full card details: We will never request your complete card number, CVV/CVC code.

  • Open accounts on your behalf: A Tide account must always be opened by you. We will never proactively ask for personal data to set up a business or savings account for you.

  • Request transfers outside the app: We will never ask you to transfer funds into a Tide account if you do not have active access to the Tide app as a registered member.

Common Red Flags & Scams

  • Spoofing (Fake Support Calls): Fraudsters can manipulate caller ID to display the real Tide phone number while claiming your account is compromised.

  • Phishing (SMS & Emails): Urgent messages containing links designed to steal your credentials under the guise of "verifying" your data or preventing an account block.

  • Unauthorized Setups: Third parties offering to handle your registration or savings account setup to "save you paperwork."

Immediate Steps if You Suspect Fraud

🔒 Core Rule for Account Safety Every transaction, account modification, or product activation must be authorized exclusively by you within the secure Tide app. Tide staff will never bypass this to request manual transfers or login data.

If you notice suspicious activity or receive an unusual request, act immediately:

  1. Hang up and ignore: Terminate suspicious calls immediately. Do not reply to doubtful messages or click any links.

  2. Keep credentials private: Never share One-Time Passwords (OTPs), PINs, or account passwords.

  3. Report to Tide: Contact us directly via our in-app chat or through our official security email address.

  4. Freeze your card: If you suspect your card data has been compromised, freeze it immediately inside the Tide app.
