Paying an invoice

To pay an invoice from a supplier, you can upload the invoice to Tide. Tide will parse the information from the invoice document and prepare a payment for you. Invoices must be in .pdf format.

When viewing the .pdf invoice file tap the upload button to see the menu of apps you can use to share the file. Scroll horizontally through the apps to find the Tide logo. If Tide does not appear as an option, tap more and switch on Tide in the menu. Once added, tap Share with Tide to continue.

You will then be directed to the Tide app, where you will be asked what you would like to do with the attachment. Tap Pay invoice.

You will be taken to the screen below with fields already populated with the information Tide has parsed from your invoice. Tap any of the fields to edit or add information.

A preview of the original invoice is included so you can check that all the information is correct. You can scroll upwards and downwards on the preview to view the full invoice.

Once you have checked all the information, tap Next.

You will be prompted to input your security code. Once entered, select the account that you would like to make the payment of the invoice from, then tap Next.

The details of your payment will be displayed for confirmation.

Tide provides the ability to categorise the transaction to assist in managing expenses. To chose a category, tap the category box next to Choose a category. This will reveal a pop-up menu with saved categories. Tap the preferred category or tap Add to enter a new category.

After confirming the details of the payment, tap Pay to proceed.

You will prompted to enter your security code again to authorise the transaction. Once authorised, the payment process is complete.
