How do I cancel my card?

You can freeze your card temporarily, or cancel it through your Tide app by going to the 'Accounts' tab > 'Cards' > 'Cancel card permanently'. 

Any authorised pending payments, made before cancelling, will still go through. 

Subscriptions billing details:

  • Bank transfers (in or out) - 20p*

  • Cash withdrawals in GBP - £1

  • Cash deposits (through the Post Office) - £2.50 for deposits up to £500, or 0.5% of the total deposit amount for deposits over £500

  • Cash deposits (through PayPoint) - 3% of the total deposit value

  • Payments between Tide accounts - Free

  • Card transactions in GBP (home and abroad) - Free**

* The payment fee (20p) is automatically deducted. For Outbound transactions, you’ll see the amount plus this fee on your confirmation screen. Inbound payments will arrive minus the fee. Members on our Smart, Pro and Max plans have a monthly free transfer allowance – check how it works for your plan over on this page

  • If you cancel your card and order a new one later, replace an online card, or one that’s ‘Lost’ or ‘Stolen’ – you’ll need to manually update your subscription billing details.

  • If you upgrade your account and receive a black card, or request a new card for any other reason – your subscriptions will be automatically updated with ‘Automatic Billing Updater’.
