Make payments with Pay at Pump

Make payments with Pay at Pump

Step 1: Insert or tap your card at the pump

This can be via Chip and PIN, or contactless, as well as Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Step 2: A reserve amount of money will be set

To make sure people don't fill up and then leave, a reserve amount of money is set aside for the fuel.

We'll check how much money is available in your balance and communicate this to the pump. This will help determine how much you can spend on fuel. For example, if you have £40 in your account, you can purchase fuel for a maximum of £40.

Different providers will have different amounts, though usually the maximum that can be reserved is £100.

If you change your mind and don't use any petrol, just reinsert the nozzle and you won't be charged.

Step 3: Fill up as normal

You'll then be charged for the amount you bought.

Sometimes, the final payment can take up to an hour to be collected. We need the petrol station to confirm how much you’ve spent, but you don't need to wait there until this happens.

We'll send you a notification once we've collected this.
