Meet Sarah, our VP of Member Engagement
👋 Hey Sarah! Introduce yourself in a sentence
Hey, I’m Sarah, VP of Member Engagement here at Tide 👋
What’s your background?
When I grew up I wanted to work in Fashion – so that’s exactly what I did! I started out as a childrenswear designer, then eventually got “online” in the world of ecommerce! I moved around a few other different industries including Automotive, Banking, Travel & Hospitality and, as of 2019, found myself welcomed here at Tide.
What made you want to join Tide?
Throughout my career I have been lucky enough to join companies where I have been able to build out CRM & Engagement from the ground up. With such exciting growth here at Tide, this was another perfect opportunity to do the same! Communications should be relevant, timely and add value to our members and that’s what I am here to do – watch this space! 👀
What’s your favourite part of your role?
There is nothing more exciting than producing content and comms that you know can add value and help members.
What are you most excited for this year at Tide?
I’m building a whole new department that focuses on engaging our members. What’s not to be excited about?!
What’s the most interesting challenge you’ve come across since you joined Tide?
Building a new department in any business is always a challenge. You are in demand, finding your feet and carving out your role, so it is all about remembering to prioritise. There is a lot to do and everything is exciting but sometimes you need to set realistic priorities and goals, as there are only so many working hours in a day – I am still working on this!
If you had to pick one thing – what’s the best thing about working Tide?
Everyone is passionate about Tide’s mission. I love working with people who have the same work ethic and you can really feel the energy amongst the team!
Can you describe your team in 3 words?
I would love to – when they join 😉
Do you have a hidden talent?
I am amazing at finding things (mainly my fiance’s belongings 🔑) – it’s a blessing and a curse.
When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?
I love adventure and travel. I like to pack as much into any holiday as I possibly can, or set mini challenges. I have recently hiked Patagonia, Machu Picchu, Bali and let’s not forget the English mountains too. I always plan a quick hike if we are ever passing Snowdon ⛰️
My family are all a 5 minute walk away too, so spending lots of time with my niece and nephews whenever I can.
