We’re one of LinkedIn’s Top 25 Startups in the UK

It’s been another big week for Tide. You may have heard the news: we’re officially one of the hottest companies in the UK to work for 🔥 We are absolutely delighted to have earned ninth place on LinkedIn’s influential list of top start-ups in the UK, alongside such fantastic fintech talent.

Tide’s mission has always been to save time and money for entrepreneurs, so that they can get back to doing what they love: running their business. Our goal may not sound grand and complex, but small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are the lifeblood of the UK economy and we care deeply about making finance admin smoother and more accessible for them.

That’s why it’s fantastic that LinkedIn, which is used by so many SMBs, has recognised us. These sought after slots on the top 25 list are not given away lightly. We’ve been judged on our employment growth, LinkedIn members’ engagement with our company and our employees, and our ability to attract top talent. Speaking of top talent, we are always on the lookout for it, so if you’re interested in becoming a Tidean please check out the positions we have on our careers page.

We asked Darren, our VP People & Culture, to say a few words about our achievement and what we’re looking for in new Tideans:

“The secret to Tide being such a great place is simple: it’s our Tideans!

Tide has seen some serious g-force, rocket ship action in 2019 🚀 with hyper-growth in both Sofia and London. We have grown the Tidean Team by 140%. We’re not done yet and will continue to hire and grow our team well into Q4 and beyond.

“We are unique. We work hard to ensure that diversity and inclusion is weaved throughout our culture, talent and values. Without this, Tide would be just another place to work. We are a floor-to-ceiling culture and diversity melting pot of greatness!

“#oneteam #memberfirst #datadriven”

Secondly, we have unveiled another new feature today – new Tide members can sign up for our services on the web. We have introduced the feature because we know a lot of SMBs like doing their accounts on a desktop computer, rather than a mobile phone. It therefore made sense to allow them to sign-up via this platform instead of having to download our app.

This feature feeds into Tide’s key values: we live by the mantra of putting our members first, working as one team and being data driven. These values are key to every decision made and the way each of us strive to achieve our daily work. Watch this space for more big announcements.
