Managing your business is easier in our updated app


Over the next month, you may notice some changes to the Tide app. As always, small business owners like you are the inspiration behind these changes – we know you want to manage your business in a simple way, and that’s why we’re making it even easier for you to find exactly what you need.

What’s new

Find and manage business funding to fuel your unique goals and support your cash flow

We’ve created the Finance tab, so you can keep on top of business funding in one place.

1. Find new funding opportunities 💰

Need long term financing, or quick emergency funds? We’ll match you with new offers tailored to your business needs and eligibility, from over 120 lending partners. Type in the amount you need, and tap Discover Options to get quotes through Funding Options by Tide.

If you’re ready to take finance straight away, you could also be eligible for quick access offers. You can find these under Offers from our partners.

And you could get instant access to funds with Tide Credit Flex*. If you’re eligible, the amount you see is available to you now – with no application required.

You can also use Credit Flex* to split your purchases into smaller monthly instalments, so you can buy what your business needs, as soon as it needs it.

2. Manage your existing loans ✅

To make our app easier to navigate, we’ve removed the More menu, which is where you could access the Credit hub to manage your existing loans.

Now, simply tap the Finance tab to keep track of your existing loans, and to check the details of any loans you’ve repaid, too.

3. Boost your business credit score 📈

Credit Builder** is designed to improve your creditworthiness, so you can access a wider range of funding, investment and partnership opportunities.

**Tide Credit Builder does not guarantee an increase in your credit score, as this assessment is performed by the Credit Reference Agencies and it’s their responsibility to determine your credit score

Manage all your payments in one place

In November 2023, we combined the Account and Pay tabs in the app to create a new home for all your account and payments-related info: the Payments tab.

1. Get quick access to tools that help you get paid on time 💸

In the Payments tab, tap Get paid to see all the different ways you can request payments from your customers, including:

  • Payment Links: accept secure card payments online without needing advanced ecommerce knowledge. Create and send Payment Links**** in seconds – wherever you can copy and paste a link, you can get paid. That includes adding them to your invoices!
  • Card Reader: whether you’re on the go, hire a stall or have a physical shop, order a Tide Card Reader**** to easily accept Chip & PIN and contactless payments. Even better, you can choose the model that’s the best value for your business
  • Invoicing: create email invoices and send them to your customers straight from your Tide account. Include payment details and due dates to get paid on time

2. Manage all your cards in one place 💳

Simply tap Cards in the Payments tab to get an overview of the spending, activity and status of your card and your team’s Expense Cards.

From here, you can view your PIN and freeze your card to stay in control of spending. And, you can add and change your team’s card limits instantly to keep costs in check

3. Send, schedule and manage outbound payments 💸

Need to send money? We’ve got you covered. Tap Send money in the Payments tab to manage your Direct Debits, schedule payments and manage your approvals

In June 2023, we used your feedback and insights to further improve the Settings area of our app.

  • Use shortcuts 🏃
    You’ve got quick access to the areas of our app that our members told us they use frequently. This includes shortcuts to manage your team, view your statements, and more

  • View your plan details ✅
    Instantly access your plan benefits, cost and more

  • Add additional businesses ➕
    As you expand, add more businesses to your Tide app so you can manage all your finances in one place. You can register a new business, or transfer management of an existing business from your Tide account on another device

  • Switch between businesses 📱
    Manage each of your businesses’ finances with ease by switching between them in seconds

  • Update your personal details 🔏
    Got a new email address, mobile number or home address? Update it in the app

  • View your business details 👀
    See the trading address, VAT number, tax and compliance details and more info associated with your Tide account

  • Log in to Tide on the web 💻
    There are now two quicker ways to securely log into Tide on the web: the Log in to web icon or under Business details
