Partnerships – Tide Card Reader – Promotional offer Terms & Conditions

Tide Platform Ltd (“Tide”) offers £100 cashback (“Reward”) to all applicants who are referred by a Tide-approved partner (“Partner”) and who meet the Eligibility criteria outlined in clause 2 below (the “Offer”). The Offer is subject to these terms and conditions (“Offer Terms”).

2. Eligibility criteria:

  • 2.1 Download the Tide app and follow the steps to complete the required onboarding and verification checks (“KYC”) and successfully open a Tide account. Tide reserves its right to open a Tide account for you only after you have passed our KYC checks as per the applicable Tide Membership and Product Terms available here. Tide shall not be required to provide any reason or be held responsible that any applicant has not been approved for a Tide Business Account.

  • 2.2 Successfully order a Tide Card Reader via the Tide website (https://tide.co).

  • 2.3 The applicant is required to enter the relevant Partner’s promo code (“Promo Code”) from the list of qualifying promo codes which can be found here on or after the date indicated next to the Partner’s Promo Code, as defined in clause 3 below (“Offer Period”). The applicant must enter the Promo Code:

  • 2.3.1  While ordering the Tide Card Reader, or

  • 2.3.2 While signing up for a Tide Business Account via the Tide app, or

  • 2.3.3 Retrospectively, the Promo Code can be applied within the app under 'Account Details > Refer a friend > Redeem' within 1 week of opening the account, or

  • 2.3.4 By letting Tide know through the in-app chat within 1 week of opening the Tide Business Account.

  • 2.4 Use the new Tide Card Reader device to accept payments with a total transaction value of at least £500 into their Tide Business Account, all within 60 days of opening the Tide account (“Promotional Period”).

  • 2.4.1 For the purpose of this promotion, the total transaction value will be considered (settled amount + fees).

  • 2.4.2 Transactions must take place within the Promotional Period to be eligible for the reward.

  • 2.5 Hold an active Tide membership and be compliant with all applicable standard terms and conditions for Tide accounts (“Tide Terms”) until receiving the Reward (as defined in clause 3 below) under this Offer. The Tide Membership and Product Terms include the Payment Acceptance Terms and Conditions that govern the use of the Tide Card Reader device.

(each of the above sub-clauses referred separately as “Eligibility Criteria”).

3. Receipt of the Reward:

  • 3.1 For each successful applicant who meets all of the Eligibility Criteria above, a £100 (“Reward”) will be applied to the new member’s Tide Business Account in the form of a monetary reward.

  • 3.2 It can take 6-8 weeks after the Eligibility criteria outlined in clause 2 above has been met for it to be validated and the Rewards to be transferred to the applicant’s new Tide Business Account.

4. Other:

  • 4.1 This Offer applies to new Tide members only. No existing Tide members will be eligible for this Offer.

  • 4.2 Participation in this Offer is restricted to one (1) per Tide account.

  • 4.3 Tide Card Reader is intended to be used by you for your business purposes only and is not provided for consumer use. 

  • 4.4 Tide Card Reader payments are processed by Adyen N.V. Tide Card Reader should be used in line with Adyen’s Restricted and Prohibited Products and Services list and should not be used for transactions relating to Prohibited and Restricted businesses as stipulated in the list.

  • 4.5 We encourage participants to check these Offer Terms regularly as we reserve the right to amend them and to withdraw referral schemes, competitions and promotions at any time. Your continued use of our services shall constitute your acceptance of any such amendments.

  • 4.6 An applicant must use the Offer as intended by Tide and must not use their Promo Code as a means to generate income or business.

  • 4.7 We reserve the right to reverse any monetary reward received during this Offer if the Reward was earned fraudulently or if it is found that the applicant has breached the Offer Terms or the Tide Terms in relation to holding a Tide Business Account.

  • 4.8 If we have reasonable grounds to believe that the applicant has engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Offer (such as for example attempting to deliberately mislead Tide Member Support to gain the Reward) we may in our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in the circumstances.

  • 4.9 This Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Tide offer or promotion in relation to opening of a new Tide account.

  • 4.10 We reserve the right to withdraw this Offer any time without any liability. We give no warranty of any kind nor accept any liability whatsoever in connection with this Offer or other services/products or your use of it.
