How to set up and manage your Tide Workforce

Tide Workforce is your all-in-one platform for managing freelancers and contractors. It brings invoicing, scheduling, and payments together in one place.

By inviting the people you work with to open a Tide account, you can pay them directly through the Tide Workforce platform.

Here’s how to set it up and manage your Workforce.

How to set up your Tide Workforce and invite your workers

  1. Log in to your Tide on the Web account by clicking here

  2. Go to the Workforce tab and agree to the terms

  3. Invite your workers to the platform by sharing the referral code onscreen via email, Whatsapp, or text

  4. Ask them to enter the referral code  when they sign up for a Tide account

  5. Approve them as a payee once they’ve joined through the Workforce section of your Tide app

How to manage your workers

You can view the status of your worker’s invite in the Workforce tab. This will show you whether they’ve been approved, rejected, or if their invite is still pending.

If your worker has signed up to Tide but you can’t see them in your dashboard, they may have forgotten to add your referral code when signing up. If this happens, your partnership manager can solve this for you if you give them your worker’s name and number.

Removing workers

We’re currently working on a more in-depth management system for your Workforce. In the meantime, if you’d like to remove a worker from your platform, ask your partnerships manager to do it for you.

How to pay your workers

  1. Go to the Accounts tab in Tide on the Web and click Payout

  2. Select the person you want to pay by clicking the box next to their name and then Next

  3. Enter the Payment Amount and Payment Reference and click Confirm

  4. Approve the payment through your Tide app

  5. The money will arrive in their Tide account usually within minutes, but sometimes in up to 2 hours

Good to know

Your business name will appear on their statement, with your payment reference.

If you pay someone by accident, you won’t be able to undo it, and so they’ll need to send the money back to you personally.

Currently you can only pay workers one by one, but we’ll be introducing bulk payouts in the future.
