How to file your confirmation statement with Tide

If you’re the director of a limited company, you’ll need to file your annual confirmation statement.

This confirms to Companies House the nature of your business, and updates them about any changes.

Learn how to:

  • Confirm your confirmation statement details

  • File it directly to Companies House through your app

Confirmation statement is currently available for single directors.

Step 1: Verify your identity

Step 1: Verify your identity

All directors of limited companies will need to verify their identity when filing their confirmation statement.

This uses an 11-character code called your Companies House personal code.

If you have a personal code already

You can provide this during the filing steps to verify your personal identity.

If you don't have a personal code

Let us know during the filing steps by tapping I don't have a code yet.

We'll then request one for you from Companies House, who will send it to your email address. You can choose which email address you'd like it sent to during this process.

Once your code has been sent, we'll let you know through your Tide app and you can complete your identity verification.

Step 2: Confirm your details

View your filing status

Within the Filings tab, you'll also be able to view your status as:
