Manage your Accounting, Admin Extra, or Making Tax Digital tools

Your Tide Accounting tool gives you everything you need to manage your bookkeeping, understand your business performance and sort your taxes.

Learn how your tool works, how to add your accountant to your account, and how to manage your subscription.

Sign up to your Tide Accounting or Admin Extra tools

  1. Log in to your Tide app and go to the Admin tab

  2. Scroll to Tools and tap on your chosen tool

Your available tools are:

  • Bookkeeping to help keep your accounts in order

  • Insights to understand how your business is performing

  • Taxes to help you work out, save for, and pay your taxes

Manage your bookkeeping

Bookkeeping is the process of categorising your transactions, so you pay the correct amount of tax for them.

  1. Go to the Admin tab

  2. Use the icons at the top of the tab to tap Bookkeeping

Here you'll see your transactions, their categories, and any transactions you have left to categorise.

Understand your business

With Insights, you’ll be able to see your cashflow, profit, revenue and expenses in real time. Just make sure your bookkeeping is accurate and up to date.

  1. From the Admin screen, using the icons at the top, tap Insights

  2. Tap View details next to the data you want to learn more about

Sort your taxes

You can see your real time amounts for the tax you owe in your tax dashboard. Just make sure your bookkeeping is accurate and up to date.

  1. Go to the Admin tab

  2. Use the icons at the top to tap Taxes

From here you'll be able to access your Self Assessment and Corporation Tax, your VAT manager, and your Tax Account.

Self Assessment & Corporation tax

In your tax dashboard, Sole traders will see their Self Assessment tax estimate, and registered businesses will see their Corporation tax tax estimate.

  1. Tap Admin > Taxes

  2. View breakdown

  3. See how much you owe
