Minimum loan value

You can set the minimum card payment value that will be automatically converted into a Credit Flex loan.

What happens if you become ineligible?

If you lose eligibility while Credit Flex is enabled on your cards, new purchases will not be flexed, but your cards will continue to work normally.

  2. If your purchase meets your rules, we create a Credit Flex loan for that amount

  3. We credit the purchase amount back to your account

  4. You'll receive a notification when your purchase is moved to Credit Flex – including the amount and indicative monthly repayment

  5. Your loan includes a 14-day cooling-off period during which you can repay without paying interest

Check if your purchase meets Credit Flex criteria

Check if your purchase meets Credit Flex criteria

  • Turn on Credit Flex for that card

  • Confirm your Credit Flex eligibility

  • Have enough credit limit available for Credit Flex

  • Purchase an item that meets your threshold

If you have made a purchase that meets all of the above criteria and was not flexed, tap Support and we'll look into this for you.

What if a purchase is not eligible?

If we are unable to create the Credit Flex loan after settlement, the purchase remains a normal card payment and is not credited back.

In some cases, you may see a note in the transaction details explaining why.

Note that Credit Flex doesn't cover ATM cash withdrawals, as well as purchases on Team cards.

There’s no subscription fee Credit Flex. You’ll only pay the interest rate on the outstanding amount over 4 or 6 months.

You see an example repayment schedule before accepting the offer, including monthly instalments and total amount payable.

What to do if you've missed a repayment

If there’s not enough money in your main Tide account on the due date, we’ll attempt to collect the amount from your additional Tide accounts. We’ll collect any money you receive until the monthly repayment is settled.

Our Collections team may also email, call or send you an SMS to remind you of the overdue payment.

We report Credit Flex payment history to credit reference agencies. Your business credit score may be affected positively or negatively, depending on whether you make your monthly Credit Flex or other loan repayments on time.

If you’re having concerns about meeting your monthly repayments, email collections@tide.co to speak to us.

What happens if you miss two or more monthly repayments

We may ask you to pay the full outstanding amount, plus all accrued interest, regardless of how long the repayments are overdue.

Days your Credit Flex loan is overdue

4 days past the due date

If you have an Additional Account, we’ll also use that account to collect your monthly instalment

8 days past the due date

We’ll give you a 7-day grace period, starting from the repayment due date, and on the 8th day - you’ll start accruing late interest of 3.3% or 4.25% fixed monthly rate, same as the standard interest rate for your loan. It’s calculated and due over the entire overdue amount

45 days past the due date

In case you didn't reach out, we may forward this to a debt collection agency. We’ll ask you to immediately pay back the rest of the loan, plus any accrued interest
