Use your Tide Business Phone within the United Kingdom (UK)

We do not support international roaming for outgoing calls or outgoing SMS when you are outside the UK. 

However, you can still receive incoming calls and SMS from the UK and 38 specified European countries*. When using your Unlimited Data Boost outside the UK, you'll have access to 10GB data roaming per month. There are no extra roaming charges for using this service in the specified countries.

* Those include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion (Réunion), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

Activate your Tide Business Phone Number

For now, you can have only one phone number per business. If you have a number you can bring it to Tide, otherwise we will give you a new number.

Step 1: Upgrade to a Paid Plan

Business Phone Number is available free for all Paid Plan members. Upgrade to a Paid Plan on your phone, simply tap:

  1. Payments > your Initials in the top-left corner 

  2. Profile and Settings > Membership 

  3. Scroll down to Manage your plan > Make a selection

Keep in mind that your Paid Plan and eSIM usage subscriptions differ.

To access your menu, you'll need an internet connection and a device that supports eSIM. In your app, tap:

  1. Admin

  2. On the right side of Products, View all

  3. Business Phone

You'll see a menu, where two yellow buttons appear, right above Business Phone Number – Inactive and Installation required. These will turn green a couple of hours after you’ve made your first call or text.

The Business Phone Number uses a digital mobile connectivity solution, often delivered via eSIM. This is a card built-in to your phone, which you set up online.

Your device must support eSIM functionality. Keep in mind that some older devices don't support eSIM technology.

Most modern smartphones from major manufacturers (including iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, etc.) support eSIM:

  • iPhone – all models from iPhone XS (2018) and newer

  • Samsung – most phones from the Samsung Galaxy S20 series (2020) and newer

  • Google Pixel – all Pixel 3 (2018) and newer

  • Dial *#06# – if your device is compatible, you’ll see an EID (eSIM unique identification number) pop up

  • Check the Business Phone menu – simply tap: Manage eSIM  > eSIM phone compatibility > search for your phone

For now, you can only use your eSIM with one device. If you want to transfer your eSIM to another device, please reach out to our support team. In your app, tap the Support icon in the top-right.

💡Did you know you can use the same phone for both your personal and business calls? Simply check if it supports Multiple eSIMs or Dual eSIM.

Step 4: Install your eSIM

Make sure that you are connected to Wi-Fi to install your eSIM.

In your Business Phone menu, tap:

  1. Activate free eSIM > wait for a few minutes > you'll be guided back to the main Business Phone menu, where the first button will turn green and display Active

  2. Install eSIM > select if you're using an Apple or Android phone

  3. Apple users, you'll need to choose how to install your eSIM. Either via Quick installation (tap Activate now > follow the on-screen instructions) or Alternative way (Copy activation code > on your phone, tap Settings > Mobile Network > Add eSIM > Scan QR > Enter details manually > paste in your activation code )

  4. Android users, you can install your eSIM via the Alternative way

  5. Once you complete these steps, you can start making calls with your Business Phone Number* 

* Keep in mind that the second button (in your Business Phone menu) will turn green up to 12 hours after you make your first call or text – and display Installed.

Before you start, make sure you're connected to WiFi.

Tap  Business Phone > Manage eSIM and select if you would like to:

  • Manage external number – transfer or cancel your current number

  • Check your eSIM Phone compatibility

  • Uninstall eSIM

  • Cancel Business Phone Number

Bring your current number to Tide

If you're switching to our Business Phone Number, you might want to keep your existing number and use it with Tide. Before you start, make sure your current provider supports porting in.

Next, get a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) by texting PAC to 65075 from your old number. Your current provider will send you a PAC code.

Your PAC code is valid for 30 days only, so your port in date should be within 30 days of requesting it.

In your app, tap:

  1. Admin > Products > Business Phone

  2. Manage eSIM > Manage external number

  3. Transfer a number to Tide

  4. Enter the number you would like to keep, your PAC code, and the date you would like to transfer

  5. Tap Transfer number

  6. We'll notify you, once your number is transferred. Transfers usually complete within one business day of your request being confirmed

💡Don’t forget to check if any early termination or porting fees apply with your current provider.

Cancel your old phone number

Before you set up your new phone number with Tide, you can cancel your old phone number with a Service Termination Authorisation Code (STAC).

Text STAC to 75075 from your old number and your current provider will send you the code. It is valid for 30 days only, so your cancellation date should be within 30 days of requesting it.

Next, tap:

  1. Manage eSIM > Manage external number

  2. Cancel external number

  3. Enter the number you would like to cancel, your STAC code, and the date you would like to transfer

  4. Tap Transfer number

  5. We'll notify you, once your number is transferred. Transfers usually complete within one business day of your request being confirmed

If you notice that your phone is missing, you can pause and swiftly move your eSIM to another device. In your app, tap:

  1.  Business Phone

  2. Manage eSIM

  3. Uninstall eSIM to remove it from the device it’s currently installed on

  1. Get unlimited data

  2. Review your Contract summary > Subscribe now

  3. Go to your phone’s settings > ensure your Mobile (or Cellular) data is turned on

  4. Check your Business Phone menu to see your activated boost and in how many days it would refresh

You can also decide to use your Business Phone Number without any data – you'll be able to make calls and send out SMS.

How to cancel your Tide Business Phone Number, but keep your paid plan

In your app, tap:

  1. Business Phone

  2. Manage eSIM

  3. Cancel Business Phone Number

If you would like to keep this phone number, remember to transfer it out with a PAC code, before you cancel.

In your app, tap:

  1. Payments > your Initials in the top-left corner 

  2. Profile and Settings > Membership 

  3. Scroll down to Manage your plan > Make a selection

  4. Downgrade your paid plan

Remember that if you cancel your Tide Paid Plan (Smart, Pro, or Max), all associated Business Phone Number packages, including any data Boosts, will also be cancelled. You will have up to 30 days to transfer your phone number to another provider before it is lost.

How to move your Tide number to another provider

If you decide to leave Tide, you can either take your Tide number with you or cancel it entirely.

Follow the steps:

  1. Use your Tide Business Phone to text PAC to 65075 (to keep your number) or STAC to 75075 (to cancel your number)

  2. Share the code with your new provider, they’ll arrange the transfer or cancellation

  3. Once complete, your Tide Business Phone Number will be closed automatically

When you cancel your subscription, you’ll have 30 days to transfer it to another provider.
