TIS Summer Cashback Terms & Conditions

1. Promotion

Tide Platform Ltd (“Tide”) offers a cashback reward of one percent (1%) on eligible card transactions made within ninety (90) days from the date on which a business current account is successfully opened with Tide, to applicants who meet the Eligibility Criteria outlined in clause 3 below. The cashback reward shall apply to a maximum of £200,000 in aggregate eligible spend during this period. Accordingly, the total cashback payable cannot exceed £2,000. (“Promotion”). 

2. Terms

The Promotion is subject to these terms and conditions (“Promotion Terms”).

3. Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for this Promotion, the applicant must:

a) Complete the sign-up process using the Promo Code (as defined below in clause 4).

b) Download the Tide app and follow the steps to complete  checks (“KYC”) and successfully open a business current account between 19/08/2025 and 15/09/2025 (“Promotional Period”). Tide reserves its right to open a Tide Account for the applicant only after they have passed our KYC checks as per the Tide Terms. Tide shall not be required to provide any reason or be held responsible that any applicant has not been approved for a Tide account.

c) Hold an active Tide membership and be compliant with all applicable standard terms and conditions for Tide accounts (“Tide Terms”) until receiving the relevant Reward under this Promotion.

d) Fund their Tide Instant Saver account with at least £5,000 (in one or multiple transactions) within 30 days of account opening and hold a £5,000 or more account balance for at least 30 consecutive days.

(each of these sub-clauses referred separately hereinbelow as “Eligibility Criteria”).

4. Promo Code

The applicant is required to enter the promo code “EARNTWICE” (“Promo Code”); 

a) While signing up for a business bank account during the Promotional Period on https://web.tide.co/sign-up/, or

b) While signing up via the Tide app, or

c) Retrospectively, the Promo Code can be applied within the app under 'Account Details > Refer a friend > Redeem' within 1 week of opening the account, or

d) By letting us know through the in-app chat within one (1) week of opening their account.

5. Reward

a) For each applicant who has successfully opened a Tide business account by meeting the Eligibility Criteria under clause 3, 1% cashback (“Reward”) will be applied on eligible card transactions of up to £200,000 made within 90 days as of the date of opening a Tide Business Account. The Reward will be applied to the new member's Tide business current account if they meet the Eligibility criteria under clause 3 above. For the avoidance of doubt, the maximum total amount of cashback that an eligible applicant can get under this Promotion is £2,000.

b) The Reward will be paid all at once. It can take 6-8 weeks from 22/12/2025 for the Eligibility criteria outlined in clause 2 to be validated and the Reward transferred to the Tide business current account.

c) Card transactions will count towards the cashback calculation based on the date the money is taken from your account (although we may, at our discretion, include transactions executed before the end of the Promotional Period even if the money is taken from your account thereafter, without double counting). This may not be the same date that the card transaction was made. 

d) If your Tide account is terminated or disabled for any reason, then any Reward payable will be deemed to be forfeited.

e) Exclusions. The following transactions are not considered eligible transactions and thus will not count towards the Reward:

  • recurring or subscription-based transactions (e.g., periodic payments for services or memberships)

  • fees (e.g. bank fees such as product fees and loan fees), promotional merchandise, gift cards, cheques, as well as charges and interest or any bill payments

  • deposits, balance transfers or other money transfers (e.g. loan, debt or credit card repayments)

  • ATM withdrawals

  • any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers, prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts

  • tax payments

  • payments to government institutions and services (e.g., property, land, company or vehicle registration and licence fees, as well as parking fees or other administrative fees or charges)

  • disputes and recharges.

f) Tide is not liable for any delays, merchant errors, technical issues, or other external factors outside Tide’s control that may impact the ability to earn or receive the cashback Reward. This includes but is not limited to merchant MCC coding, payment network delays, or actions by third-party service providers.

6. Miscellaneous

a) This Promotion applies only to new Tide members who are opening a Tide account for the first time. 

b) Participation in this Promotion is restricted to one (1) per Tide account.

c) We encourage participants to check these Terms regularly as we reserve the right to amend the Terms and to withdraw referral schemes, competitions and promotions at any time. The participant’s continued use of Tide’s services shall constitute their acceptance of any such amendments.

d) An applicant must use the Promotion as intended by Tide and must not use the Promotion as a means to generate income or business.

e) All cashback amounts shall be deemed inclusive of any applicable taxes. Applicants/Tide Members shall be solely responsible for assessing and accounting for any tax liability that may arise in connection with the cashback.

f) Tide reserves the right to reverse any cashback Reward an applicant receives during this Promotion if (i) the Reward was earned fraudulently, (ii) it is found that the applicant has breached the Promotion Terms or the Tide Terms in relation to holding a Tide account, or (iii) a technical error has occurred when applying the Reward.

g) If Tide has reasonable grounds to believe that an applicant has engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to deliberately mislead Tide Member Support to gain the Reward) Tide may in its sole discretion take any actions it sees fit in the circumstances.

h) Tide gives no warranty and accepts no liability in connection with this Promotion or other services/products or the participant’s use of them.

i) This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Tide offer or promotion in relation to the opening of a new Tide account.
