Change your policy

You can adjust your insurance after it has started but before it renews.

  1. Tap Finance > Insurance

  2. Select the policy and tap Amend

  3. You'll be redirected to your in-app chat and we’ll guide you from there

You can update your business details such as your address, number of employees and cover level.

Some adjustments may result in a change to your premium price. If this is the case, you’ll see it on the screen before you confirm the change. Your monthly premium will update automatically.

You can add any insurance policy you hold with another insurer to your Insurance Dashboard in your app.

  1. Tap Finance > Insurance > Add existing policy

  2. Fill out the details, tap Submit, and you’re ready

Now you can keep track of all your business policies in one place and get in-app reminders 45 days before your policy renewal dates.

Paying for your policy

Billing cycle

Policies run annually, and we collect your monthly instalments automatically from your main Tide account.

The first instalment is on your purchase date and may slightly differ in price from your following payments. Following payments are taken out 7 days before this purchase date.

Auto-renewal

All policies are set to auto-renew at the end of the annual term. We’ll send your renewal documents and confirm your renewal price 30 days before your policy renews.

If you don’t want your policy to auto-renew, tap Support in your app to let us know, any time before the new cover period begins.

If a payment fails

If we can't take the payment, we’ll email you to let you know. We’ll keep trying to collect the payment up to and including the start date of your next policy cover month.

If we still can’t collect the payment by this date, your policy will be cancelled with immediate effect, and we’ll email you to confirm this.

Cancelling your policy

  1. Tap Finance > Insurance

  2. Select the policy and tap Cancel Policy

  3. Select a reason for cancellation and tap Confirm

The cancellation will become effective at the end of the pre-paid month.

After you cancel, we’ll email you a link to safely download your documents for your records.

Closing your Tide Account?

When you close your account, your Tide Insurance policy will be cancelled at the end of the pre-paid month and won’t renew.

We won’t charge you a cancellation fee. Your cover will continue until the end of the current pre-paid month.
