Connect to your accounting software

Your Tide account can connect to any software that works with Open Banking.

  • If you're using Xero, then visit this dedicated page

  • If you've chosen Sage, FreeAgent, Coconut, CashFlow, QuickBooks, Crush, ClearBooks or Reckon, keep reading

Connect to Sage Accounting

  1. Log in to Sage on the web and head to Banking

  2. Find your Tide account, then select Actions > Connect to Bank, then choose or search for Tide in the list of banks

  3. Have your Tide sign-in details ready, then select Continue to review and allow the financial data you’ll share

  4. Select Continue to authenticate with Tide and follow the instructions in your Tide app to confirm the connection

  5. Back on your computer, select the Tide account to connect and click Grant Access > Continue, then select the date you want Sage to start importing transactions

On the Banking page in Sage, your Tide account will update to show the transaction count.

Connect to FreeAgent

Connect to FreeAgent

  1. In FreeAgent, go to Banking > Bank Accounts.

  2. If you're a new user, Connect your bank. If you're an existing one select your Tide account and click Enable bank feed

  3. Select Tide from the list or search for it, then click Connect to my bank. Give your consent and log in securely with your Tide credentials via the Tide app

  4. Back in FreeAgent, choose your Tide account, pick a transaction start date, and select Link Account.

  5. Click Show me my transactions your feed will update every 24 hours with cleared transactions.

Connect to Coconut

Connect to Coconut

  1. In the Coconut app, go to More > Bank Connections > Add accounts

  2. Select Tide from the list or search for it, then review what data Coconut will access and consent

  3. You'll be redirected to your Tide app log in and approve the connection

  4. Back in Coconut, choose to use the account as Mostly business

Once Coconut confirms the connection on the screen, you're all set.

Connect to KashFlow

Connect to KashFlow

  1. In KashFlow, go to Bank > Activate the account you want to connect. If you see Import instead, go to View/Add > Change Source, then return and select Activate

  2. Select Open Banking Feeds and choose Tide from the list, or search for it

  3. Read the information shown, then click Allow and you’ll be asked to log in to your Tide account. Enter your credentials and complete the security steps

  4. Select the Tide account you want to connect, then Confirm

  5. Back in KashFlow, choose which account to link by clicking Select

A pop-up will confirm your account is connected and you can start importing and reconciling transactions.

Connect to QuickBooks

Connect to QuickBooks

  1. In QuickBooks, go to Banking or Transactions and select Link account

  2. Search for Tide and choose it from the list, then give your consent for QuickBooks to access your Tide data

  3. You’ll be redirected to Tide to log in and authenticate, then approve the connection

  4. Back in QuickBooks, choose the Tide account you want to connect and confirm

QuickBooks will begin importing transactions daily, and you can also refresh manually from the Banking/Transactions page.
