How to sign up with a referral code

Have you been referred by a friend? You’re just a few steps away from joining our community and securing that £100 bonus for both of you.

1. Sign up through the Tide app

Get the Tide app via the App Store or Google Play Store and apply for a Tide business bank account.

2. Enter your referral code

When you get to the ‘Add referral code’ screen, enter the code shared with you by your friend.

3. Wait for account approval

When you get to the ‘Add referral code’ screen, enter the code shared with you by your friend.

4. Start using your account

You’re a Tide member - congratulations! Start spending on your account and save time with the in-app smart features.

5. Spend £500 and get a £100 bonus

Simply spend £500 on your Tide card in the first 3 months and we’ll deposit £100 to you and your friend in your Tide accounts.

The Tide Refer a Friend programme is an exciting opportunity for you to earn cash rewards by recommending Tide to your friends. It’s a way for us to say thank you for bringing more members to the Tide community.

When your friend opens a business bank account with Tide, using your referral code and spends £500 on their Tide card in the first 3 months, we’ll give you both a £100 bonus.

Your £100 bonus will be paid into both you and your friend’s Tide accounts within 8 weeks of your friend completing £500 worth of transactions on their Tide card.

For you and your friend to both earn the £100 bonus, your friend needs to complete £500 worth of transactions with their Tide card (excluding any disputes or recharges) within 3 months of having opened their account. For more details, see the referral programme terms and conditions.

There’s no limit on the number of friends you can refer to Tide, but we reserve the right to withdraw the programme at any time.

We’ll send you a referral code by email or via the app. Simply share your code with your friend. They enter the referral code when they sign up for a Tide business bank account. Once their account is opened, they just need to spend £500 during the first 3 months and we’ll give you both £100 as a referral bonus.
