By giving select team members read access to your account, they can view your transactions when needed. That means you won’t have to do it for them – saving you time and helping them to complete finance tasks quickly.

Previously, you could grant read access through our Account Reader feature. Now, we’ve replaced Account Reader with a new, more secure feature: Team Members.

Improved security for your business

To log into Team Members, users will need to verify their identity through biometrics. Biometric login helps keep your account safe from scammers.

Users’ biometric data won’t be shared with us when they log in; their device simply lets us know that it’s them. Plus, your team’s likely already familiar with biometric login if they have Expense Cardholder Access.

Any users you add will only be able to view your transaction data. They won’t be able to make any changes or take any action on your account using Team Members.

Multiple log-in options

Users can log into Team Members via Tide on their mobile web browser, or on Tide on the web if they’re on a laptop or desktop.

Who to add to Team Members

Add anyone who you know needs read access to your account. That could include:

  • Your accountant and other external team members. It could help them with financial forecasting, alongside other tasks

  • Employees working in finance, admin and other relevant business areas. They may need read access to complete expense management, for example

  • Your business partner(s), co-director(s) or anyone else who needs to view your business financial records

Can I still use Account Reader?

No – Account Reader closed on 1 August 2022. We’ve developed Team Members to still allow your team to view your transaction data, but with the extra benefits of mobile access and added security to help keep your Tide account and money safe.
