How to activate and use your Credit Score Insights

Do you know what your business credit score is? You can view and learn how to improve it in your Tide app with Credit Score Insights.

What a credit score means

What a credit score means

The business credit score is also used to assess the risk of lending your business credit. If your credit score is:

  • Closer to 100 – the low risk range. Lenders are more likely to approve loans and other credit products, and with lower interest rates

  • Nearer 0 – the higher risk range. Available funding may come with higher interest rates and could cost your business more

Keep in mind that your business credit score is publicly available. Anyone can check your score with Credit Reference Agencies, before deciding to partner with you.

Optimise your Credit Score Insights

Activate your Credit Score Insights

  1. Tap Pay and then tap your initials in the top-left

  2. Tap Memberships and under Add-ons tap View

  3. Tap Credit Score Insights

View your Credit Score Insights

  1. Tap Finance > Credit Score Insights

  2. Tap View dashboard to see:

  • Credit score* – regularly updated, usually every 30 days**. You'll also receive in-app notifications of how your score changes

  • Credit insights – educational tips that are regularly updated, usually every 30 days**

  • Credit offers from Tide

  • Knowledge hub – helping you understand the importance of (and how to build) your business credit score

*We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the score as it's compiled and obtained by third parties. These are Credit Reference Agencies and CreditSafe. The information is not intended to be financial advice.

**Note that the time it takes for your business credit score to update may vary slightly depending on our data feed from CreditSafe. Your app will show your updated score as soon as we receive it.

Manage your Credit Score Insights subscription

Credit Score Insights costs just £4.99 per month, and there are no additional fees or interest payments. It's included in your Tide Max paid plan at no extra cost.

We’ll collect the fee as soon as you sign up, and then at the beginning of each following month.

Cancelling your subscription

  1. Tap Finance > Credit Score Insights > View Dashboard

  2. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen

If you cancel before the end of your calendar month, you won't get a pro-rata refund but you will keep access until the end of the month.

You can renew your subscription at any time if you choose.
