Get to know Aiste Krevneviciute, our Performance Marketing Manager who brings both personal entrepreneurial experience and marketing expertise to Tide. In this interview, she discusses her journey from running her own business to helping other SMEs discover Tide's solutions.

Our Marketing team is at the heart of helping Tide grow. This team includes performance and product marketing, Community and Partnerships. We’d love for you to meet the people behind the Marketing team – so here’s our Performance Marketing Manager: Aiste

Hey Aiste! Introduce yourself in a sentence.

Hi I’m Aiste I come from Vilnius, Lithuania and I have been in London for 9 years. I have a BA in Business Management and Administration and almost a decade of experience working in Marketing.

What made you want to join Tide?

I ran my own e-commerce store and found it a painful experience to open a business bank account with a high street bank – especially when you’re just starting. In our case, we were also 2 directors so the amount of paperwork we had to do was enormous. I was impressed at how easy it was to open a business account with Tide. When I heard about the opportunity at Tide, I knew I wanted to work with this product and see how far we can go by helping business owners and offering the most competitive business current account in the market. The team is pretty amazing too!

What’s your typical working day?

A cup of coffee is a must to start the day! I need my caffeine fix in the morning ☕

Overall, as we are growing rapidly, every day brings something new. So far I have met with different media partners, tested different paid media channels and I evaluate results on an ongoing basis. My goal is to ensure Tide reaches the right audience at the right time to inform small business owners of who we are and how Tide can help them with their business banking, saving them a lot of time on admin. I am also analysing a lot of numbers and doing all the maths to make better decisions when planning media spend.

What’s your favourite Tide feature?

The smooth integration with various accounting softwares and transactions categorisation. I believe Tide provides the most competitive tools for bookkeeping in comparison to other banks and this makes business owners’ life easier, especially the ones who are similar to me and forget to categorise invoices and feel the pain when it comes to admin work. I am also a big fan of our ‘small business tips’ series on the Tide blog, a recent post about ‘How to make tax digital’ is a must read in 2019, even Peter Jones talks about it :).

What’s the most interesting challenge you’ve come across since you joined Tide?

Exploring performance-based marketing strategies in aggressive growth environment.

Also building a brand and working on long term strategy implementation and processes, which are crucial to continuous growth. At the same time, I have always loved working for scaling startups, it’s rewarding to see the impact and changes in a short period of time.

What are you most looking forward to at Tide this year?

I look forward to seeing Tide grow and expand internationally. When all the real fun will start because I love international marketing 🌍

What’s your hidden talent?

I went to art school for 10 years, so I play the piano quite well.

Ideal celebrity guests for a dinner party?

Empowering women like Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Angela Merkel. Also Tony Robbins and Elon Musk.

When you’re not at Tide, what’s your favourite thing to do?

I love to travel. Exploring the world and experiencing different cultures are my passions. I also love thinking about different business ideas, and I hope that one day I can start another one.
