How do I pay my tax bill to HMRC with my Tax account?

Head to your Tax Account in the app and tap: ‘Pay HMRC’ > select an HMRC account from the list > add the amount and reference > confirm and approve the payment. 

If this payment fails for any reason, the money will return back to your Tax Account.

Our regular bank transfer fee applies when you pay HMRC. If you’re on our Lite plan, you will get 5 free monthly transfers (pro-rated for partial months), then it’s 20p per transfer. The same fee applies if you’ve exceeded your paid plan’s free transfer allowance.
